Growing up in a musical house, Ricky developed an OBSESSION with music at an extremely young age. He was playing instruments from early childhood and his passion for music carried on growing right through his life along with his musical taste which has continuously expanded to include many different styles and genres.

Ricky began Djing in 1999 when he developed a fascination with blending music together. His career took off quickly and he went to live in London for 2 years where he became the resident DJ in a popular Covent Garden nightclub called The Langley.

On returning to South Africa, Ricky’s career continued to develop. He started doing corporate events and began to work for some of the country’s top event coordinators and companies, including Otto De Jager, Leon Christodoulu (C SQUARE), Marc Hirschowitz (Concept Spark), Jill Groger, Michelle Gordon, Circa Hospitality, The Launch Factory and several other companies. He has also played at some major SA events, including opening for Goldfish and Flash republic on several occasion and is a regular feature at the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens events playing alongside SA’s top artists.

On top of the current corporate and private work, Ricky also plays sets at clubs and bars around the country (Crazy 88, The Woods, Latinova, Bang Bang Club, Beach Blanket Bohemia, Asoka, Caprice etc…). He was one of the artists featuring on the Millers ‘Rock The Boat’ cruise in December 09 and is often featured on radio doing guest mixes and interviews on 5fm and Good Hope fm. He has a great ability to read any crowd and always suite the vibe of an event perfectly.
